Steven Arnold
|
|
Mr. Arnold holds a B.A. in Music from York College, where he majored in guitar. He studied guitar with Ray Chester, head of the guitar department at Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore MD. In addition to teaching privately, Mr. Arnold has played in various rock bands in the York, Harrisburg, and the Lancaster area, and believes this experience enables him to to teach a wide variety of musical styles. Mr. Arnold believes that all students possess musical talent, and that the trained, experienced teacher will find successful and creative ways to develop this ablility. Fundamentals become the building blocks for future progress. Therefore, notation reading, rhythm, ear training, music theory and proper study techniques in memorization will be stressed in his teaching.
*Students who have studied with a previous instructor are asked to also bring music/books they have been working on.
