Bill Zweitzig has been playing the guitar since the age of 12. He is a 1999 graduate of Temple University with a B.F.A. where he studied jazz guitar performance. Private instruction was given by Ed Flanagan, Head of Jazz Dept. at the Esther Boyer School of Music.Bill grew up with a wide variety of music styles in his home as he was exposed to the professional musicians in his family. He enjoys a number of styles of music including jazz, blues, funk, rock, alternative, punk, reggae and pop music. He is currently a full time professional guitar teacher in the Lancaster and Harrisburg areas. Musicians that have influenced his music include John Coltrane, Phil Keaggy, Jimi Hendrix, Bela Fleck, Wes Montgomery and Joe Pass.

Research shows that the study of music enhances brain development in a variety of areas. Bill welcomes students as young as 8 and will work with any skill level. "I believe that music is a gift that has the potential to be a very powerful force in our world. Music is in my opinion one of the greatest mediums of self-expression available to those who seek after it." *New students should bring their guitar and if possible a recording of some of the music they would like to learn to play. A program of study will be individually designed for each student based on their interests and goals.
