Mr. Yohe holds a Master of Education from Millersville University, and post-graduate Principal's Certification from Western Maryland College. He has more than 25 years teaching experience both in the classroom and private studio setting. Through the years he has sung in ensembles, quartets, choral and oratorio groups and played guitar in several small bands. Although he has participated in all kinds of music, vocal, instrumental, listening, arranging -- playing the guitar and teaching others to play remains his favorite activity.

"I believe that an essential part of learning to play an instrument is setting goals. I help my students to set both long-term and short-term goals. I believe that students will make progress when they (1) have a genuine desire to learn to play their instrument; (2) make a sincere commitment to practice; and (3) assume responsibility for their learning. Practice can be fun. It all depends on one's attitude. No one can do your learning for you. That is your responsibility!

"I try to develop a friendly, caring relationship with each student in the studio so that he / she is encouraged to do well, will learn to enjoy the guitar and guitar music, and will feel that the learning process is important and worthwhile in itself. I have successfully guided dozens of men, women, teenages, and children in their quest for musical knowledge and enjoyment. I'd like to do the same for you!"
