Ron Tingler
|
|
Mr. Tingler holds a diploma from world famous Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA where he majored in guitar performance, and graduated in 1990. He also holds a teaching certificate from Bowling Green State University in Ohio. He has over 35 years of teaching and performing experience. He has studied all styles of guitar; classical guitar with Dr. Loris Chobanian, chairman of the guitar department at Baldwin Wallace Conservatory of Music; Jazz guitar with fusion artist, Ron Renick, and Rock guitar with famed recording artist and virtuoso Gary Hoey. At Musicians Institute, he studied with many notable world-class players, Paul Gilbert, Norman Brown, Keith Wyatt, Steve Trovato, and Nick Nolan among others. Mr. Tingler has played rock across four decades, and specializes in eighties rock-n-roll, his favorite being neo-classical rock made famous in the mid to late eighties by Yngvie Malmsteen and Vinnie Moore.
“Music is a gift from God meant to be shared with people. Whether one chooses to study heavy metal or classical, the goal should be to eventually share their musical gift with others. My goal is to help my students reach their musical goals and have as much fun as possible during their journey to get there. Do you want to learn to burn at lead guitar? I can show you how to do that! I like to tailor my students’ guitar programs and design them specifically with their interests in mind!”
Mr. Tingler believes his experience playing across four decades in virtually any and every venue imaginable, will allow him to have something to offer to just about anyone interested in learning to play the guitar!
Another specialty of Mr. Tingler’s is contemporary worship music, especially the Maranatha and Vineyard music and choruses.
