Marc Spina
|
|
Marc Spina has a Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Millersville
University where, as a trumpet player, he performed primarily with the Jazz Band,
Orchestra and Symphonic Band. Throughout college, Mr. Spina taught several students
in the university's Preparatory Program, a program for young music students in
the community. Since graduating, he has taught briefly in the Lancaster, Solanco and Penn Manor School Districts until devoting his time teaching privately and working as a freelance
musician in area churches, bands and ensembles. He can be seen performing
regularly in the Lancaster-based Soul/Oldies band "The Roof Rockers", and performs regularly for various groups in Pennsylvania, Maryland and Delaware area.
Marc believes that learning an instrument should be a positive and rewarding
experience that reflects the joy and creativity music can bring us.
Students will be contacted prior to the first lesson and should come prepared
with an instrument, previous lesson books and a positive attitude.
