|
Virginia Suzette Arndt, B.A. Music Mercyhurst College Erie, PA, was a member of the college glee club, director of the madrigal group and a member of the Erie Symphonic Singers.While studying for her M.A.in Humanities at Western Kentucky University Bowling Green, KY she was a member of the college choir and went on their spring tour in Kentucky.
Mrs. Arndt has been involved in music as a vocal music teacher in public, private, and overseas schools K-12 and a private teacher of voice, keyboard and guitar for more than 30 years. She is married to Pat Arndt and has one son, Patrick who is 11.
She has been a performer since the age of 4 and participated in church choir and school chorus, district and state choruses and studied voice with opera singer, Charlene Chadwick-Cullen at the Chautauqua Institution in New York state.
She has appeared on the Fulton stage in the musicals, "Carousel" and "Fiddler on the Roof," is presently a member of "Empyros" an area singing group, a published national and international poet, a former adjunct professor teaching Humanities at HACC for 11 years, and a founding member of the Lancaster Folksong and Fiddler Society.
Her special areas of interest include teaching keyboard to 4 and 5 year old students, but students of all ages are welcome. She has started very successful guitar programs in schools for middle school students, but her speciality is working with the VERY YOUNG guitar student.
Voice students have gone on to auditions at Hersheypark, appeared as soloists in area churches and school musicals, become lead singers in rock groups and studied voice for their own enjoyment.
