Greetings!
My name is Christina Faust and I am receiving my Bachelor of Arts in Music from Lycoming College in May 2009. While at Lycoming, I studied oboe under Linda Fountain and cello under Andrew Rammon. I have taken courses in music theory, music history, instrumental conducting, teaching music in both elementary and secondary schools, and studied voice, piano, cello, and oboe privately. I was very involved in the music department by participating in the following ensembles: concert band, wood wind quintet, jazz band, college choir, chamber choir, and tour choir. I have also played numerous solos, soloed for several large ensembles, and was selected to play oboe for the 2009 Pennsylvania Intercollegiate Band Festival.
I have had the opportunity to work with my high school's music department post graduation. In the summer of 2008 I assisted with the Ephrata Elementary Band Camp by working with the flutes and oboes. I also had a wonderful opportunity to teach cello lessons to elementary students through the summer string program. In addition, I served as the pit percussion instructor for the Ephrata High School Marching Unit.
Now that I have my bachelor’s degree under my belt, I plan on attaining my teaching certification. Music has been a part of my life from a very early age and I would like to share the joy it has brought me with others!
