Erin Moscony
|
|
Erin Moscony holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Music Performance with a concentration in flute from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where she studied with Dr. Therese Wacker.
At IUP, Ms. Moscony performed in various ensembles including the Wind Ensemble, Symphony Orchestra, Symphony Band, Marching Band, flute choir, IUP flute quartet, Keystone Chamber Winds, and several student chamber ensembles. She is a frequent soloist at St. Paul Lutheran Church in York, Pa, and the Wolf Museum of Music and Art in Lancaster, Pa. She has played with the Red Lion-Felton Community Band and Spring Garden Band. She holds professional memberships in Sigma Alpha Iota, an international women’s music fraternity, and the National Flute Association.
Ms. Moscony has experience teaching flute lessons through IUP’s music internship program. She welcomes students of all levels – beginning through advanced – and believes that music education should be adapted on an individual basis, focusing on each student’s goals and needs. To their first lesson, students should bring their flute, any music they’re currently working on or have worked on recently, and a positive attitude!
