Sooyeon Littell is a native of South Korea and currently resides in Hummelstown where she teaches classical piano music to students of all ages and skill levels. She has been playing the piano for over 24 years. Her formal education includes a BA in Piano from the Chung Ang University in Korea. She also majored in piano at Kaywon High School of the Arts and studied at the Queensland Conservatory of Music in Australia. In addition, Mrs. Littell studied music therapy at Suk Myung University. Sooyeon Littell played many solo and duo concerts in Korea. Her awards include First Place in the Yongsan Art Hall Piano Duo Contest in 2004 and Second Place in 2003. She had several years experience teaching over sixty private students in Korea before coming to the United States in 2006. She taught over 40 students at Centerstage Academy in Virginia from 2006-2009. She also taught piano for Newport News Parks and Recreation. She was also a pianist at a U.S Army chapel when she was in Korea. She played piano for Riverside Baptist Church and First Christian Church in Virginia. She accompanied music major students at Christopher Newport University in Virginia and accompnied for talented viloin students in the Hampton Roads area. Sooyeon is an outstanding teacher who loves children and sharing her musical skills and talent.
