Mr. Duma is a recent graduate of Lebanon Valley College, with a Bachelors of Science in Music Education and a Bachelors of the Arts in Saxophone Performance and Jazz Studies. He has studied Saxophone with Tom Strohman, Clarinet with Beverly Anne K. Butts, and Flute with Michelle Barraclough.

As part of his Music Education experience, Mr. Duma has completed his student teaching at Fleetwood Area Middle School, teaching small group lessons on Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Trumpet, Low Brass, and Percussion. He also directed the Advanced and Intermediate Bands, as well as the Jazz Band.

Mr. Duma has been a member of the Central Pennsylvania Band, "The Headliners" for two years. "The Headliners" perform a variety of music, including ballroom music, top 40 hits, contemporary pop, jazz, and many other styles. The group performs in an area encompassing Maryland, State College, Reading, and Sunbury Pennsylvania. Through "The Headliners" Mr. Duma keeps an active and varied performance schedule.

"As a music educator, I want students to learn not only the names of notes and symbols for rhythm, I want to develop an appreciation for music. What good is playing a scale or chord if we cannot appreciate it as listeners? Connecting music to the lives of students is a more important goal than creating perfect performers. The best lesson a teacher can give is one that allows the student to learn on their own, and WANT to learn on their own."

Students are welcome from any skill level, regardless of age or musical background. Mr. Duma primarily performs on the Tenor Saxophone, however students may take lessons on the Alto Saxophone, Soprano Saxophone, Baritone Saxophone, Clarinet, or Flute. Students are encouraged to explore their favorite genre of music, whether it be a hobby or passion, and allow the lesson to be tailored to his or her needs and interests in music.
